CARS Online Training

Welcome to the CARS Online Training service! We are offering online prevention and mentoring training courses to California’s substance-abuse prevention providers at no-cost through the Community Prevention Initiative (CPI).

With access to the Internet, you can take a course Anytime! & Anywhere! Courses can be bookmarked in order to take a pause and return at a later time. All courses are research-based and relevant to the substance abuse prevention and mentoring fields.

Each course includes:

Research links and documents associated with the course
The ability to email your questions to our course expert and receive a prompt reply
Test and certificate of completion offered for each course
At-Your-Convenience feature that allows you to bookmark a course, take a break and return to it at a later time

Online courses are being provided through the Center for Applied Research Solutions and funded by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs. Online courses will be available at no-cost through September 2007.

We encourage you to enroll and register for CARS Online Training’s various one-hour prevention courses. Please review our catalog for available courses. All learners will be required to pass a proficiency test and complete a brief survey after each course before a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
